Blood or pus emerging and flowing to reach an area that is fardh to be washed inwudhu or ghusal. 3. The liquid that comes out ofan eye, ear, navel or nipple caused by any sore or sickness, e.g. pink eyes, ear ache, etc. 4. Vomiting a mouthful of food, water, bile, congealed blood or fresh flowing blood, provided it is not excelled by spit. 5 . Unconsciousness, madness, fainting or any amount of intoxication that causes one to stumble. 6. Qahqahaa (laughter so loud that people around are able to hear) ofa baaligh in a namaaz ofruku and sajda while awake. 7. Sleeping or lying down against something which, i fremoved, would cause the person to fall down. If, in namaaz, sitting or in sajda, a person intentionally sleeps away then the wudhu and the namaaz breaks. 8. More blood than spit coming out ofthe mouth. (General Books, Bahare-Shariat) CASES THAT DO NOT BREAK WUDHU 1 . If blood, matter or pus appears but does not flow, e.g. the speck of blood that emergeswhen pricked by a needles head or knife. 2. Touching one 's private part (back or front) or that of another with one's hand. 3. Finding blood that does not have the ability to flow. 4. The coming out ofhardened blood from the nose when cleaned. 5 . Oil coming out ofthe ear or nose 1 dayafterhavingused it in the ear. 6. Mosquitoes, lice or bedbugs sucking one's blood. 1 0
