(Durre-Mukhtaar) S imilarly, when water becomes mustamal, e.g. a person without wudhu puts his hand, finger or any other body part that i s to be washed in wudhu, or ifany part ofthe body that is not washed ofa person on whom ghusal is fardh, touches or reaches the water, it i s impermissible to be used for wudhu, ghusal or drinking purposes. Using it toknead dough is makrooh but there is no problem to wash clothes with it. Women should pay special attention to this law as they commonly use their fingers to ascertain water being hot or coid. They should first wash their hands and then do so. Even ifthe hand is washed but is placed in water with the intention of washing again for purposes of thawaab, e.g. to eat, then water becomes mustamal. It cannot be used for wudhu or ghusal and drinking it is makrooh. (Noorul-Absaar, Fataawa Razvia, etc) If a person wants to use mustamal water for wudhu or ghusal then clean water should be used to sedate it excessively. This makes the water usable.
