(Durre-Mukhtaar, Raddul-Muhtaar, Fataawa Razvia, Bahare-Shariat) SUNNATS OF GHUSAL 1 . After making niyyat for ghusal, to wash both the hands three times until the wrists. 2 . Then wash the place of istinjaa, irrespective of it having impurity or not. 3. To remove impurity wherever found on the body. 4. Make wudhu just l ike for salaah but do not wash the feet. Ifghusal is being made in a place where water does not stand, e.g, cemented area with an outlet for water, then the feet can also be washed. 5. Then spreadwater over the body l ike oil, especially inwinter. 6. Thereafter pour water three times over the right shoulder. 7. And then the left shoulder three times as well. 8. Water should then be poured three times over the head and entire body. Now move away from this p lace and wash the feet if they were not washed before. 9. Do not face the qibla while bathing. 1 0. Torub and pass the hand over the entire body. 1 1 . Make ghusal in a secure, private place where no one else can see you. Women should take special care to this. 1 2 .
