that tayammum can be made properly on every part of the hand. Special attention should be paid by women folk regarding this, even more than in wudhu. 3. There is no masah ofthe head or legs in tayammum. 4. To strike the earth once and use this s ingular strike for wiping both the face and heads is not sufficient for tayummum to be done. Similarly, to use two fingers in masah of the hands, even if they go over the entire hand, is not acceptable. 5. Tayammum can be made on products which are made ofthe ealih. A qualityofproducts which are manufactured through the earth is that they do not turn to ash, melt or become soft i n fire, e.g. ochre, limestone, etc. 6. Tayammum is permissible with dust that remains on \vheat, barley, wood, glass, etc. provi ded that the dust sticks to the hand. If it does not stick to the hand then it is not allowed. It is also permissible to make tayammumwith the mortar ofwalls. 7. The place that was used for tayammum by someone can be used by another person for the same purpose. Those who say that tayammum made on the walls of a musj i d or earth is makrooh or impermissible are incorrect. 8 . Tayammum is broken by those factors that make wudhu or ghusal waaj ib. Gaining qudrat over water also breaks taymnmum. 9 . Ifsomeone reaches a place where water is available within a mile then tayammum breaks. It is not neccessary that the person comes to the exact spot ofwater. 1 0 . When a sick person, due to i llness, makes tayammum for ghusal but then regains health to an extent that ghusal will cause him no harm then tayammumbreaks.
