Rule- There are six colours ofhaiz. 1 . B lack, 2 . Red, 3 . Green, 4 .Yellow, 5 . Brown, 6. Muddish in colour. A white colored substance is not haiz. Rule- Ifa pad was wet with a yellowish dirty colour and when it dried it became white, ifthis is within the period ofhaiz then it is menstruation. However, when the pad was seen it was white but when it dried it became yellow then this is nothaiz. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- I f the initial menstruation of a woman lasts for a month or even more then the first 1 0 days from when the blood began to flow wil l be counted as haiz and the others days are istihaaza. This rule is to be appl ied throughout the time blood flows. If haiz was experienced before and the blood continues to flow at ano t her period then the days of her habit per 30 days will be haiz and the other days, istihaaza. Rule- Concerning a woman who has never experienced menstruation in her l i fe or blood did flow but always less than three days is paak her entire life, if, once, blood came for 3 days and nights then only this will be haiz and the other instances less than 3 days and nights do not affect her as haiz. (RaddulMuhtaar) Rule- Concerning a woman who experienced menstruation for 1 0 days and after it did not have haiz the entire year, thereafter blood flowed continuously, then in this period, 1 0 days in a month should be deemed as haiz and the other 20 as istihaaza. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- If, less than 3 days and nights, blood came and the woman remained paak until 1 5 days and when blood came again, it came less than three days and nights, then both are istihaaza.
