If a woman becomes clean from haiz or nifaas during the day with some part of it still remaining then she should spend it like one who is fasting, and qadhaa for the fast of that day becomes waaj ib on her. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 1 9. If a woman went to bed paak but when she awoke in the morning found the effect ofhaiz then from that time rules ofmenstruation apply to her. Therefore, if she had not performed Esha Salaah then after becoming paak its qadha is fardh upon her. 20. If a woman with liaiz went to sleep but when she awoke in the morning there was no effect of it on her pad then she will be considered paak from the night. If it is done thinking it to be haraam then severe sin is incurred and taubah becomes fardh. In this state it is not permissible, with or without lust, for any body part of the man to touch the area between the navel and the knees of a woman without the body ofthe woman having clothes on it. Th.ere is no harm if there is something on the body that restricts the feeling of heat from it. (Durre-Mukhtaar, ete) 23 . To seek benefit from the area above the navel and below the knees has no harm. Similarly, to kiss is also allowed. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 24. During this time, a woman can eat and drink with the husband and for both to sleep on one bed is also allowed. To not sleep with her based on this reason (haiz or nifaas) is makrooh.
