I f paak clothes are wrapped with naa-paak clothes and the paak clothes have become moist with the naa-paak ones then they do not become naa-paak, on condition that the colour or smell of the najaasat does not become apparent on them. If they do become apparent then the clothes become naa-paak. When there is wetness of urine or alcohol on the naa-paak clothes then the paak clothes, merely becoming moist with it, causes it to become m i a-paak. (Alamghiri) 4. If dry, naa-paak clothes are wrapped w ith wet paak clothes and the former becomes so wet by the later, to the extent that the wetness of the naa-paak clothes begins to reach the paak c lothes, then it also becomes naa-paak. If it does not reach then it does not become naa-paak. (Alamghiri) 5 . Clothes or the body does not become naa-paak if flies that sit on stool begin to sit on it. (Alamghiri) 6. Mud of the road is paak until it i s known that it is naj i s . Therefore, if mud gets stuck on clothes or on the leg and namaaz is made without washing it then salaah will be done, but to wash it off is better. (Raddul­ Muhtam) 7. If while water was being sprinkled on the road, a few drops, after touching the ground, splashes on to the clothes of a person then it (the clothes) does not become najis. To wash it out, however, is better. (Bahare-Shariat) 8.1f a dog, even with a wet body, has to touch the body or clothes, they . remain paak. Yes, ifthere is naj aasat on i ts body or its saliva has to touch then they become naa-paak. (Alamghiri) 9. When paak sand is mixed with naa-paak water then it also becomes naa-paak. (Alamghiri) 47
