Ifthere remains wetness on the clothes after squeezing, to the extent that if it had to be squeezed again then a drop and halfofwater will drip, then the clothes and hands both are naa-paak. (Alamghiri) Rule- Ifafter the first and second squeezing the hand is not cleaned and a paak portion of the clothes becomes wet with the wetness of the hands then this portion also becomes naa-paak. (Bahare-Shariat) Rule- A milk drinking infant boy or girl both have the same rule applying, that iftheir urine has to touch the body or clothes then it should be washed and squeezed three times each. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- Those obj ects that cannot be squeezed, e.g. shoes, etc. should be washed and left until dripping stops. On the third wash, it becomes paak when the dripping stops. To dry it each time after washing it is not necessary. Delicate clothes that are not able to be squeezed because of their sensitive texture should be made paak in the above manner as well. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- Any thing that has become naa-paak but the najaasat has not penetrated it (e.g. naj aasat on utensils of steel, copper, bronze and other metals, etc.) is made paak by merely washing it three times 'nly. It is also not necessary that the water stops dripping. This rule also applies to the body. Washing it three times is sufficient. (Raddul-Muhtam) Rule- It is not necessary that the obj ect is washed three times at once. I f it is washed a t various intervals or even in different days, unti l the amount is completed, still too will it become paak. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule-Wiping obj ects made from steel or any metal is sufficient for it to become paak, e.g. a kni fe, etc. This rule also applies to mirrors. However, if there is rust on the obj ect the:: to wash it is necessary as wiping is not sufficient in this case to make it paak. (Alamghiri) Rule- If there is some coarse najaasat on the shoe, e.g. excreta or dung,etc then it becomes paak when it is scraped and falls off. (Raddul- 49
