(Durre-Mukhtaar, Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- If a fardh or waaj ib has become qadha then it is necessary to stipulate both the day and namaaz, e.g. the certain namaaz ofthe certain day. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- If, in heart, one intends to break namaaz but does not say anything bymouth then that person stil l remains in namaaz. (Durre-MukhtaOl) However, if any action is done that causes namaaz to be broken then it is definitely nul lified. 6. Takbeer-e-Tahrima- To say "Allahu-Akbar". Rule- If, instead of Allahu-Akbar, another word that is respectful to Allah �, e.g. Allah Ajalu or YaA llah Aazam is said then namaaz will be done but doing so is makrooh-e-tahrimi and a sin. (Alamghiri. ete) Rule- Qiyaam is also fardh for takbeer-e-tahrima i n those salaah wherein qiyaam is fardh. Hence, if Allahu-Akbar is said sitting and one stands up afterwards then namaaz did not even begin. (Durre­ Mukhtaar) PERFORMING SALAAH Afterwudhu, one should stand facing the qibla with a space of 4 fingers between the feet and make niyyat for the salaah to be performed, e.g. "I make niyyat of 4 Rakaats fardh salaah of zohar for A llah facing the qibla". The hands should be l ifted until the shoulders but they must not be taken out of the burqa (head covering) or scarf. Fingers must not be completely j oined nor stretched. Rather, they shoul d be left normally. The palms should face the qibla and, saying Allahu-Akbar the hands are to be brought down and tied with the left palm placed just below the 57
