(Durre­ Mukhtaar) PERFORMING SALAAH Afterwudhu, one should stand facing the qibla with a space of 4 fingers between the feet and make niyyat for the salaah to be performed, e.g. "I make niyyat of 4 Rakaats fardh salaah of zohar for A llah facing the qibla". The hands should be l ifted until the shoulders but they must not be taken out of the burqa (head covering) or scarf. Fingers must not be completely j oined nor stretched.
