The meaning of reciting the Holy Quraan is that all lctters could be pronounccd from and according to its specific pronunciation and place of origination so that letters are distinguished amongst themselves and recognized. (Alamghiri) Rule- When certain things are to be read at specific j unctions then the person herself needs to hear her recitation even if it be softly. Therefore, if it was read so softly that it was not heard even by the individual herself and there was no commotion around, then namaaz will not be done. (Alamghiri) Rllle- To recite a single small or long ayat in the first two Rakaats of a Fardh namaaz and to recite it in every Rakaat ofWitr, Sunnat or Nafl namaaz is Fardh. However, if namaaz is being perf·rmed behind an Imaam then no Qiraat, not even Surah Fatiha, is allowed to be recited. (Durre-Mukhtaar, Alamghin) 4. Ruku To bend to the extent that, ifone extends the hands, they can reach the knees. This is the most reduced limit ofRuku and it is sunnat for women in Ruku to not keep their backs straight.
