l imit ofRuku i s to make I shaarah (gesture) forRuku. (Alamghiri) 5. Suj ood To make saj da. The true meaning of Sajda is to fix the forehead to the ground and to p lace the hard bone ofthe nose to the ground is necessary for this to occur. I f, through a vali d excuse, the forehead cannot be fixed on the ground then only p lace the nose on it but to only place its tip is not sufficient. Rather, p lacing the hard-bone of the nose on the ground is necessary. (Alamghiri) Rule- To perform two sajdas in every Rakaat is Fardh. Therefore, i fone Sajda is forgotten to be made then Namaaz is not done. Even Sajda-e Sahw does not compensate for this . (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- Sajda made against any soft obj ect eg: grass, cotton, woolen carpet, etc. is permissible on condition that the forehead is fixed properly on it, meaning if the forehead had to be pushed down once more it does not go down. Ifnot then Saj da is not allowed. (Alamghiri) Rule- If Saj da was made on a place 12 fngers higher in comparison to the feet then it is not dont. If its less than 1 2 fingers then it will be completed. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 6. Qaaida-e-Akhira After completing all the Rakaats ofNamaaz, to sit until the entire At Tahiyaat until WaRasooluhu is read, is Fardh. Rule- After completing four Rakaats, a person sits but then thinks that only three were done and then stands up. Thereafter, she remembers that four Rakaats were completed, sits down again and turns to make Salaam. If both times of s itting are added up and they equal the amount for Tashaahud then the Fardh has been completed. I f not then the Fardh has not been fulfilled. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 64
