Rule- If "Aa, Ooh" is said uncontrol l ably by a sick person then namaaz does not become Faasid. Similarly, whatever syllables are said uncontrollab ly when sneezing , coughing, burping, or yawning are also forgiven. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- Knowingly or unintentionally eating or drinking in namaaz nullifies it. Therefore, if one swallows a small piece ofunchewed food or if a drop of water that fel l to the mouth is swallowed then namaaz is broken. Rule- If a piece of food was stuck between the teeth and it was swallowed then, if it was smaller than chana (chick pea), namaaz is not broke!1 but to do so is Makrooh. I f it was equal to a chana then Salaah is nullified. (Alamghiri) Rule- Ifblood comes out from the teeth andwas swallowed then namaaz is broken ifthe taste ofblood was felt in the throat. It does not break ifit was not felt. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- If while a woman was reading namaaz, a child suckles her chest then namaaz is broken ifmilk comes out. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- Ifwhile a woman was in namaaz a man kissed and also touched her body with lust, then namaaz is broken. However, if a man was in namaaz and awoman did this then namaaz does not become Faasid until lust is felt by the man. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- To scratch ones selfthree times in one Rukun causes namaaz to be broken, meaning, the hand was used then dropped was used then dropped again and like this for a third time. Placing the hand to scratch and moving it a few times over the area though is considered to be only one time. (Alamghiri) Rule- Namaaz is nullified if one pulls out three strands of hair continuously or kills three lice in succession or one louse three times altogether.
