of Zul-Hijjah is Mustahab. Remaining awake for the most part of the night is Shab-beedaari. Making Nafl Salaah reciting the Quraan and Hadeeth or l istening to it, reciting Durood Shareef or other Azkaar is Shab-Beedaari, not merely staying awake through the night. (Raddul Muhtaar) On these blessed nights it is better to go to sleep then to busy ones self in vain talk and action. ISTIKHAARA NAMAAZ Sometimes people become unsurewether to do something or not eg: go on aj ourney, marriage etc. When diverse thoughts enters the heart about doing something or not the Shariah has formulated Istikhaarah Namaaz in which the Namaazi that performs it seemingly takes advice from his Lord. It is hoped that through this consultation the correct line ofaction will come to be. The Sahaaba �narrate that the Holy Prophet � used to teach them to make Isthikaarah namaaz for all their affairsj ust as how he used to teach a Surah ofthe Holy Quraan. (Tirmizi) Rule- Istikhaarah is to be read when ones leaning is not completely towards something. The method of Isthikaarah is that when a person intends to do something, he or she should make two rakaats of Nafl Salaah in complete concentration and then read the following dua sincerely.
