ofSajda and performs it Shaitaan moves away and , crying says "0 my misfortune ! The son ofAdam was ordered to prostrate and he did so, lannat is his place. I also was ordered to make Saj da but I refused , lahannam is forme." (Muslim) Rule- There are fourteen Ayats of the Holy Quraan that cause Sajda to become Waaj ib on the person who has recited or listened to any one of them on condition it was read so loudly that ifthere was no excuse she herself will be able to hear it. Hence if the Ayat of Saj da was read so audibly that she could herself hear her voice but due to some noise or being deaf she did not then Sajda becomes Waaj ib. However ifonly the lips were moved and no sound was created then Sajda does not become Waajib as this is not considered to be reading. (Alamghiri) Rule- It is not necessary on the person who has l istened to an Ayat of Saj da to have intended l istening to it . Unintentionally listening to it also causes Sajda to becomeWaaj ib. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- (Hijee) Spelling out, making one spell or listening to the spelling of an Ayat of Sajda does not make Sajda Waaj ib. Similarly writing or looking at an Ayat of Sajda does not make Saj da Waajib. (Alamghiri) Rule- Besides Takbeer-e-Tahrima, Sajda-e-Tilaawat has all those conditions that namaaz has and whatever makes namaaz Faasid also makes these sujood Faasid, e.g. Speaking, making Salaam etc. (Alamghiri, Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- The masnoon procedure for making Sajda is that one should stand up with the intention of Sajda-e-Tilaawat and saying Allahu-Akbar go into Sajda. In Sajda "Subhaana Rabbiyal-Aala" should be read at least three times. Then saying "Allahu-Akbar" wake up. Making Sajda sitting is also allowed but saying Allahu-Akbar before and after it shouldnot be left out. Rule- When saying Allahu-Akbar for Sajda-e-Tilaawat the hands must not be raised. There is neither Tashahud nor Salaam in it. (Tanweerul- 1 07
