'I should then be laid out with the big sheet (Lifaa/a) first, Tahband and then Kafni and the Mayyit laid on it. Thereafter the Mayyit should be made to wear the Kafni with the entire body beingwiped with a fragrance and camphor to the forehead, nose, knees and feet. After the Kafan is hair of the female must be separated in two parts and placed on the Kafni over the chest with onepart on the right and the other on the left side. The Ourhni spread until below half the back should be brought to the head and placed over the mouth l ike a Naqaab so that it remains on the chest. The Lifaafa is to be wrapped next first the right then the left side so that the right remains on top. The part at the head and feet should be tied for no fear of it becoming loose occurring. Then on all of these the Seenah Band should be wrapped from above thebreast until the thighs. (Alamghiri) Rule- lfKafan according to the Sunnat cannot be arranged then either a Lifaafa, Izaar, Ourhni or a Lifaafa, Qamees, Ourhni, three coverings are sufficient. When eve] this cannot be arranged then at least that much·to cover the entire body. (Alamghiri) Unnecessarily giving a woman less than three coverings is not allowed and Makrooh. (Alamghiri) Rule- The Kafn should be of good quality meaning it should have the same value of clothes the woman used to wear to go to her parents home.A Hadeeth states, "Give good Kafn to the deceased as they meet each other and get pleased with good Kafn."
