absolutely unaware ofthem. Rule- The Namaaz-e-Janaaazah of every Muslim no matter how big a sinner or gross person he or she was is to be performed (on condition that no utterance or action against Islam was perpetrated by that person) However there are some people whose Janaazah is not read the person who has killed either his mother o r father or both, a bandit or looter who was killed while looting etc. There is no Ghusal or Janaazah for such people also. (.4 Iamg11iri) Rule- Janaazah t,f a person who has committed suicide intentionally will be read even though committing suicide is a maj or sin. (Alamghin) Rule- Ifthe Mayyit was buried without Namaaz being perfonned then it should be read at the grave if sand has already been thrown in and until there is no fear of the body swelling . However if sand has not already been thrown in, then the body is to be taken out, its Janaazah read and then buried. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- If Janaazah is read without Ghusal been given then the Namaaz is not done. The body should be given Ghusal and Namaaz read again. If the body has already been placed in the grave but sand has not been thrown in then it should be taken out given Ghusal and its Janaazah performed. However if sand has already been put in then the body cannot be taken out. Hence Namaaz should be read at the grave as the prior Janaazah was not done and Ghusal now is not possible. (Raddul Muhtaar) Important note After Imaan and having the correct Islamic beliefs the most important Huqooqullah (rights ofAllah) is the performance of Namaaz. Those vr who do not perform it intentionally are severe sinners. However even · their Namaaz as well as Ghusal and Kafn needs to be performed and given. (Fataawa Razvia) 1 27
