ISAALE-THAWAAB TheHoly Quraan states , .J:; .J , ,. Help each other in good works andpiety (Surah Maidah verse 2) The Ahadeeth have stressed that Muslims are brothers to each other, they should help, be llseful, courteous and supportive to one another in times ofneed also. Rassoollalah ::i has said, "The Deen is only well wishing" repeating this three times. When the Sahaaba asked him for who is well wishing he answered "For Allah, His Ras001, His Kitaab (Shariah) the Aima (leaders) ofIslam and the general Muslims."(Mulsim) Another narration ofMuslim Shareef reports that the Holy Prophet :i has stated, "If any from amongst you can pass benefit to his Muslim brother then he should definitely do so," However, do the deceased receive benefit from the good deeds ofthose alive after death? According to the Shariah ofIslam, Indeed the deceased receive benefit from the good deeds of those alive and extract guidance from their Isaale-Thawaab. There aremanyAhadeeth that testify to this. 1 . If Surah Ikhlaas is recited 1 1 times and passed as Thawaab to the deceased then the latter definitely receives its reward according to their amount. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 2. Once on Rassoollalah's :i instruction, two rams or goats were brought to him. He slaughtered them with his own hands and submitted in the divine court, "0 Allah ! One ofthese animals is from me and the other is from those ofmyUmmah who cannot make Qurbaani (Do not have the means)." (AbuDawood. IbnMajah) 3 .
