The Isaale-Thawaab made for the Auliya is respectfully known as Nazar 0 ' Niaz. I t i s called so because Nazar is when a gift is presented to an esteemed person in general speech. Thereafter, both hands should be lifted in Dua. (Fataawa Razvia) Rule- To make Fatiha on food, sweetmeats and clothes placed in front is permissible and to call it the practice ofHindus is absolutely baseless. Haj i Imdaadullah Muhaaj ir Makki in his reputed book, Faisla haft Masaail describes this to be the practice of the Ulema and pious and definitely their practice must also be ours. Rule- 3, 1 0, 20, 40, days etc that are appointed for Isaale-Thawaab after the death ofa person are for convenience instituted for hundreds ofyears amongst Muslims. There is no Sharee specification in them and no one believes that Isaale-Thawaab can be made on only these days otherwise the reward will not reach the deceased on other days.
