(Fataawa Razvia, Bahare­ Shariat) Rule- It is necessary that whatever is done for Isaale Thawaab must be done with a good intention, not for show or to flaunt ones wealth or status. If it is done for these purposes then according to all a Haraam act and sin has been done and leave alone Isaale-Thawaab, how will Thawaab be attained? INCORRECT PRACTICES OF ISAALE-THAWAAB Rule- Food or drinkwhichare great blessings ofAllah, should not fall to the floor, be tramped on, or wasted at the time ofdistribution. There is no Thawaab in this and doing so incurs divine displeasure. Distribution should takeplace in a humane and civilizedmanner. (Fataawa Razvia) Rule- Awage should not be taken to recite the Holy Quraan for Isaale­ Thawaab because then no sincerity will remain in the Tilaawat. When compensation becomes the reason for recitation, Thawaab is not gained and when there is no Thawaab, how can there be Isaale-Thawaab? (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- Preparing Halwa (a sweet dish) on Shabe-Baraat (15th of Shabaan) and making Fatiha on it are both permissible. They fall under Isaale-Thawaab. (Bahare-Shariat) The ueedy and rich both can eat this Halwa because it was made with the intention of all partaking of it. Actually this Halwa is distributed to family and friends so that love and sincerity can be demonstrated and through the Barkaat ofShabe Baraat compassion will increase amongst Muslims. The Hadeeth states , "Send gifts to one another as love increases by doing so." Rule- Reciting SurahMulk as IsaaleThawaab is also advised. The Holy Prophet;ihas said, "There is a chapter in the Holy Quraan containing 30 Ayats that will intercede for its recitor until he or she i s forgiven. That 1 39
