The fast does not break ifthe vomit is less than a mouthful even if the vomit goes down the throat itself or she swallows it down. (Raddul-Muhtaar) RlIle- Intentionally or unwi ll ingly, even a mouthful of phlegm does not break the Rauza. (A lal1lghill) Rule- I t is Makrooh for a fasting person to take or chew anything without an excuse. Excuse/or Tasting-I f a woman has a husband who is moody and he can become angry if salt in the food is less or more then there is no harm for herto taste it from the pot. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rllle- A person bought something whose tasting is necessary and ifnot tasted loss would occur then there is no problem in tasting it. Otherwise it is Makrooh. (Durre-Mukhtam) To taste means that it should be placed on the tongue and i ts taste understood. Thereafter it must be spat out with nothing going down the throat.
