(Alamghiri) Rule- To make haste in lftaar i s Mustahab but it should be made only wheh there is an absolute conviction ofthe sun having set and ifthere is no conviction of it having set then Iftaar must not be made. If the Muazzin call s 6utAzaan or Iftaar is announced by any other method and there are clouds covering the sky then Iftaar should not be made very quickly. (Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- It is Masnoon to make the l ftaar ofRauza with fresh dates, if not then dried dates or with water. (GeneralBooks) PERMISSION TO NOT KEEP FAST Rule- The Shariah has allowed Rauza to not be kept in certain instances. Therefore it is not kept in these cases then there is absolutely no sin. These cases are listed below. 1 . A pregnant woman and the woman breast feeding a child are both permitted to not keep fast at that time if they truly fear for their l ives or that of their children, irrespective if the woman breast feeding is the mother ofthe child or a milk nurse. (Durre-Mukhtaar) 2 . If a sick person has absolute conviction that the i llness wi l l increase, health wil l take longer to be regained, or if a healthy person has a overwhelming certainty that sickness will be contracted or a servant has a true belief that unbearable weakness wil l be incurred then all of them are allowed not to keep Rauza on that day. They should keep it at a later time. (Jauhara, Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- Only Ghaalib Gumaan (over whelming conviction) has credibility in the mentioned cases and mere thought , whim or suspicion is not sufficient.
