Rule- There is no harm to keep these Rauza one after the other after Eid and it is best if they are kept separately, meaning fasting two days in every week. FASTING ON THE 27TH OF RAJAB There are many merits mentioned about this fast in various Ahadeeth. Hazrat Salmaan Farsi '*' reports, "There is a date in Rajab that spending the night in nafl and the day in Rauza, is equal to 1 00 years of keeping the night in Ibaadat and 1 00 years of fasting. This date is the 27th of Rajab." (Baihaqi) Another narration states, "Allah records the Thawaab of fasting 60 months for the person who keeps Rauza on the 27th of Raj ab." (Ma Thabata bis sunnah) FASTING THREE DAYS IN A MONTH To keep Rauza on three days every month, especially Ayame-Beedh (13th, 14th, 15th) is advised. Rassoollalah � has said, "Whoever can keep three fasts everymonth should do so as every Rauza erases 1 0 sins and purifies one from it, just as how water cleans clothes." Another tradition states, "When one intends to keep Rauza on three days in a month then it should be kept on the 1 3 th, 1 4th, 1 5th". At another j unction Rassoollalah� states, "The Rauza ofRamaadan and three fasts everymonth removes the ills ofthe heart." (Ahmed, Tabraani) SAUM ON MONDAY AND THURSDAY The Holy Prophet � has said, "Deeds are presented on Mondays and Thursdays. Therefore, I prefer that my Aamal are presented while I am in the condition ofSaum". (Tirmizi) When asked why he keeps Saum on Mondays and Thursdays, the Holy Prophet � aii;,wered, "Allah grants maghfirat to evelY Muslim on both these days except for those two people who separated themselves from one another.
