fast is allowed to be broken before noon when one who is fasting is given Dawat (invited/or a meal) and it is known that not going will be upsetting to the invitee. (Durre-Mukhtam; Raddul-Muhtaar) . Rllle- A wife should not keep Nafl, manat (vow) or Qasam fast withOut the consent of her husband and if she does keep the Rauza then he is pennitted to make her break it. However Qadhaa becomes waaj ib when it is broken and the pennission of the husband to keep its Qadhaa is also needed. Rllle- If children are prohibited from keeping Rauza by their parents who fear sickness ifthey do then the parents should be obeyed. (Raddul Muhtaar) Rllle- To complete a nafl Rauza kept on Eid, Eid-ul-Adha or Ayaam-e Tashreeq is not waajib and there is no Qadhaa incurred if it is broken. Rather to break it is Waaj ib. (Raddul-Muhtam) RAUZA OF A VOW Rllle- If a woman made Manat (vowed) to keep Rauza for a month continuously then if she gets a period ofTahaarat for a month or more then it is necessary that she begins fasting before the coming ofHaiz so that 3 0 days can be completed. However ifHaiz is experienced before a month is completed then the amount offasts kept before the Haiz should be counted and whatever number of days remain in 30 days being completed should be kept after the Haiz without a break as to delay completing a Manat of continuous fasting is not pennissible. IfManat for miscellaneous fasting is made, e.g. ] 0 days, then to keep them continuously is also valid. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rllle- If Manat was made to keep fast of a month, e.g. Raj ab, and the person was sick during the month then its Qadhaa is to be kept on other days and in completing the Qadhaa she has the choice of continuity or breaking the continuity. (Durre"'Mukhtaar) Rllle- Saum is to be made for Allah but its Thawaab can be given as 1 67
