Rule- The person going for Hajj-e-Badal should be from the same area as the mayyit so that the finance can be handled easily. Implacing the Hajj-e-Badal from Makkah Shareef is not included in this. (General Books) SPECIFIC AHKAAM OF WOMEN IN HAJJ Rule- At the time of going for Hajj, a woman should not be in Iddat, whether it be Iddat of death or Talaaq-e-Baain or Raj ee. (Alamghiri, DurreMukhtaar) Rule- Both men and women are equal in completing the Arkaan (pillars) of Hajj . However, women have separate Ahkaam in certain Masaail, 1 . Men are ordered at the time of Ihraam to remove sewn clothes and socks before coming to the Meeqaat. They are to wear a new or washed chaadar (sheet) and one Tahband (bottom covering) However women are permitted towear sewn clothes and socks. 2. It is Haraam on men to block their faces or heads with a cloth in the condition ofIhraambut women can cover their heads. However to cover the head in Namaaz and in front of a Ghair Mahram (for a woman) is Fardh. Note - It is Haraam on women also to cover their face in the condition of Ihraam. The Hukrn on her is that she should spread a hand fan etc to obscure her face when coming before a GhairMahram 3. To gather the hair with gum etc in the condition of Ihraam is Haraam for men but women are allowed to gather their hair with gum or anything like it. 4. Formen to tie a bandage on the face or head or aTaweez on the neck or arm even if it is wrapped in unsown cloth is Makrooh in Ihraam. It is absolutely permissible forwomen though. 5.
