TRAVELLING TO MADINA TAYYIBA Rule- Presenting one ' s self in the blessed court ofRassoollalah � and making Ziyaarat ofhis blessed Rauza is an act close toWaajib. There are many in the guise of friends who will try to stop you from undertaking thejourney by saying, "There is danger on the way, there is sickness "etc but beware do not fal l into their deception and return bereft of the Thawaab ofvisiting his sanctified Rauza. This life will definitely go one day. What better way is there for it to go than i n his path and it has been experienced that those who hold on to his support are blessed by him with rest under his light ofmercy. The Holy Prophet W. has said, "He who makes my Ziyaarat after my passing away is like one who made my Ziyaarat during my l i fetime and the person who dies in the Haramain (Makka andMadina) will arise on the Day ofQiyaamat with the trustworthy." (Baihaqi) In another narration, Rassoollalah � states, "The person who makes Hajj and did not make my Ziyaarat has been unfair to me." (JbnMajah) Rule- If Hajj is Fardh then it should be made and Madina visited. thereafter. Yes if Madina Sh a reef lies on the way to Makka then not making Ziyaarat and going for Hajj is a great loss and proof of cruelty. This Ziyaarat should be categorized as a means for Hajj to be accepted and for attaining Deeni and worldly blessings. If the Hajj is Nafl then there is a choice of either perfonning Hajj first and then make Ziyaarat or visit Madina first and then make the pilgrimage. In ShOl-t a good Niyyat is needed and allAamal aremodeled on intentions. Note - Know well that Rassoollalah lj; is alive with true, worldly, physical life, just like the life before his Wafaat Shareef (demise) . His and all other Ambiya' s passing away is for a moment to fulfill the command ofAllah �. Thereafter they are alive like before. Thus their demise is only that they are obscured from the eyes of people. It is for this reason that the Aima of Deen state, "Rassoollalah's �life after demise is the same before it. He sees his Ummat and understands their conditions and intentions. All this is absolutely not obscured for the 1 76
