Rule- The Hukm of Liaan is that when it is completed, it becomes Haraam on the man to make Wati with the woman. However, by Liaan merely, the woman does not come out of Ni kah rather after it, the Haakime-lslam (Islamic Ruler) will make Tafreeq between them and this Tafreeq will be Talaaq-e-Bain. After Liaan, ifthese two do not wish to be separated, s till too will Tafreeq take place. (Jauhara) Rule- After Liaan, when the Tafreeq has been made, the woman will receive Nafqaa (alimony) and a place to live. The child born within the period of Iddat, will be the husbands. (Durre-Mukhtaar, Raddul­ Muhtaar) IDDAT When a husband gives Talaaq or passes away, Nikah becomes prohibited on a woman until a certain period. This period of time is known as Iddat according to the Shariah. There are many wisdom behind Iddat and a few ofthemarementioned here, I . Mourning of the late husband. 2. In the case of Talaaq-e-Rajee, time is attained to ponder over the marnage. 3 .1t will come to light if the woman is pregnant with her former or late husband' s child. After the lddat the woman is pennitted to marry another in the rules of the Shariah. Indeed, Islam was the first way of life that granted dignity to widows and women divorced. Other religions used to even burn widows alive with their husbands. Thereare different Ahkaam about the Iddats of women with Haiz, without it, pregnant, non- pregnant etc. Maj or works should be referred to or Sunni Ulema consulted regarding them .
