Durood be read every time. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- It i s Mustahab to recite Durood whenever possible especially on the day ofJumaa, Thursday night, morning, evening, at the beginning and end of the dua after Azaan, when meeting and dispersing, making Wudhu and at the time when something is forgotten. Rule- Durood should definitely be written iftheb l essed name is written . Some Ulema are of the opinion that it is Waaj ib t o write Durood at that time. (Durre-Mukhtaar, Raddul-Muhtaar) Rule- Today, many people write (S.A. W.), (P.B. u.H.), etc. in short for the complete Durood. This is impermissible and Haraam. The Ulema state that the hand of the first person to do so was chopped for perpetrating such an unfound act. Does not the Ho ly Prophet � deserve Durood written upon him to be complete and full? Similarly instead of Radiyul lahu anhu, (R.A.) i s written in short for the Sahaaba andAuliya. This too shouldnot be done. (Tahtaawi, FataawaRazvia) FAZAAILAND AADAAB OF RECITING THE HOLY QURAAN The Holy Quraan is the Kalaam ofAllah � with Islam and its Ahkaam being dependent on it. Making its Tilaawat, pondering and understanding its meanings makes a person closer to the court ofAllah � and b lessings and benedictions are attained i n the Dunya and Aakhirat. This is the very Kitaab that i f touched, seen or read, Thawaab will be attained and is a means of salvation. Here we mention a few Ahadeeth regarding thi s glorious Kitaab. The Noble Messenger $ states, 1 . The best amongst you is he who learns the Quraan and teaches it. (Bukhari) 232
