Aperson proficient in the recital of the Holy Quraan (Reads easilyand fluently) is with the Kiraaman-Kaatibeen and he who does not read easily and fluently receives two rewards (meaningrecital is hardforhim but hestill tries). (Bukhari, Muslim) 3 . He who does not have any part of the Quraan within him is like a barren house. (Tirmizi) 4 . The person who recites one harf (letter) of the Quraan will receive in reward one good deed equivalent to ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam Meem is one harf, but Alif, Laam and Meem are all separate harfs. (Abu Dawood) 5 .The parents ofhe who reads the Quraan and acts upon whatever is in it will be given a crown to wear on the Day of Qayaamat. Its radiance, more brighter than the sun which shines in your homes. What can now be said ofthe person who acts on the Quraan himself? (AbuDawood) 6 . Shafaat of he who memorizes the Quraan and deems its Halaal and Haraam to be Halaal and Haraam respectivelywill be accepted byAllah � for ten such members of his family upon whom lahanam was made waaj ib. (Tirmiz l ) 7. Rust also forms on these hearts just as how it appears on steel when water touches it. When people asked, "Ya Rassoolallah�! What is it's remedy?", he answered, "Extensively remembering death and tilaawat ofthe Holy Quraan." 8. Do not make your homes as graveyards. Shaitaan flees from the home in which Surah Baqarah is recited. (Muslim) 9 . A Noor will be made bright between two lumas for the person who recites Surah Kahfon the day ofJuma. (Baihaqi) 1 0. Everything has a heart with Surah Yaseen being the heart of the Quraan. Reading SurahYaseen once is written byAllah to be equivalent to reciting the Holy Quraan ten times. (Baihaqi) 233
