1 1 . The past sins of a person who reads Surah Yaseen merely for the pleasure of Allah are forgiven. Therefore read it near your deceased. (Baihaqi) 1 2. There is a Surah of the Holy Quraan compromising of thirty Ayats that will make Shafaat for a person until he is forgiven. This Surah is Surah Mulk. (AhuDawood) 1 3 . The person who recites Surah Waaqiah every night will never be afflictedwith poverty. Hazrat lbn Masood �used to order his daughters to recite this Surah at night. (Baihaqi) 1 4. The last two Ayats of Surah Baqarah are from the treasury ofAllah $ found beneath the Arsh. He has bestowed them to me so learn them and teach them to your wives as they are mercy, proximity and dua to Allah. (Daarimi) 1 5 . Nothing will stop a person who recites Aayatul-Kursi after every Namaaz from entering Jannat except for death. (Meaning as soon as death occurs he or she will enter Jannat) . If read when one rests then Allah $ wi ll bestow safety from Shaitaan and from thieves to the home in which it is read as well as the neighbors and houses close by. (Baihaqi) AADAAB OF TILAAWAT AND MASAAIL OF QIRAAT Rule- To look and recite the Holy Quraan is more better than reciting it by heati as the fOlmer case comprises of reading, seeing and touching the Holy Quraan which are all Ibaadat. Rule- It is Mustahab to read Ta' awuz when beginning Tilaawat and recIting Tasmiyah before a Surah, is Sunnat i f beginning it. If not, it is Mustahab. Rule- Whi le making Tilaawat, if any worldly act was done then Ta' awuz and Bismillah should be read again before commencing 234
