(Ghunyaa, Fataawa Razvia) Rllle- It is Haraam if all people in a gathering loudly recite the Holy Quraan with their voices colliding against each other. This occurs in most gatherings of Tilaawat. In such gatherings, when reciters are gathered, they areordered to make Tilaawat softly. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rllle- The voice of a woman is also Aurat (needs to be covered). Therefore, she is not permitted to display it to Ghair Mahrams unnecessarily even ifthey are blind. (Ghunyatul-Mustamli) Rllle- Memorizing the Holy Quraan and then forgetting i t is a sin. Rassoollalah �states, "The good deeds ofmy Ummah were presented hefore me, even the Thawaab of removing a dust particle from the Mus./id . My Ummah �� bad deeds were also placed before me and the worst sin from them was the forgetting ofan Ayat or Surah that was given to the memory ofaperson". (Tirmizi) Rllle- The person making Tilaawat should be with Wudhu, face the Qibla, not have anything that interupts concentration nearby and should be wearing good clean clothes. The Quraan is to be placed on something pure and high, e.g. a pillow or stand and Tilaawat should be made comfoliably. lfa correct translation ofthe Quraan is found, e.g. Kanzul­ Imaam byAala Hazrat ImaamAhmed Raza�, then its meanings should also be studied and pondered over. After Tilaawat, dua should be made for one ' s self and supplication for all other Muslims should not be forgotten. Rllle- Ifa Junub or a woman who has not made Ghusal yet after coming out ofHaiz or Nifaas or she has Haiz or Nifaas comes in a room where another person is making Ti laawat, then it should not be stopped on account ofthis. (Fataawa Razvia) Rllle- Ifa Quraan becomes so old that Tilaawat cannot be made from i t and it is feared that i t ' s pages wi l l become scattered and destroyed then it should be placed in a Paak cloth and buried in a place ofcaution.
