IMPORTANT RULE Those actions i n which speaking (reciting or saying something) has been stipulated, means that it should be audible enough for the person to hear himsel f, e.g. reading Bi smillah at the time ofZabah, giving Talaaq, reciting Sajda-e-Tilaawat for Sajda to becomeWaajib etc. (Alamghiri) FAZAAIL AND AADAAB OF DUA Dua is supplication and a sincere request of need in the court ofAllah �. It is a unique blessing and fortune which Al lah � has bestowed and taught His bondsmen to makc. There is no better and effective means to expel misfortune and calamities than Dua, which i tself i s an I badaat and the crux and brain of worship also. By completing th is form of Ibaadat, a person i s benefittd with the fol l owing. 1 . He or she is counted i n the group ofsincereAabids (worshipers) 2 . The person who makes dua acknowledges his or her helplessness and recognizes the mercy and absolute power ofhis Lord. 3. Making Dua i s acting upon the urging and Hukm of the Shariah and those who do not supplicate are warned ofdivine dissatisfaction. 4. It is following the Sunnat as Rassoollalah $1. used to suppl icate at n'ost times and used to emphasize dua to be made by others as wel l . 5. Dua banishes afflictions and goals are attained through it. I fa person desires protection from problems Allah � grants him or her H i s protection and i f anything i s wished for, He bestows it through H i s mercy o r reserves its Thawaab i n theAakhirat. 238
