Any male or female who accuses a virtuous Muslim female or male who i s free, Aaqil and Baaligh of Zina and cannot provide the agreed verification of four witnesses becomes an obligated recipient of Hadd. The punishment for Qazfis 80 lashes for a free person and 40 for a slave. (Durre-Mukhtaar) Rule- Aperson who explicitly calls someone aZaani or i n anger says, " You are not the son ofyourfather, You are the son ofa Zaani woman," whereas the mother is chaste, then Hadd of accusation wi l l be incurred by such an individual. (GeneralBooks) Rule- Calling a chaste woman a "whore" (as is the habit ofignorant women whenfighting) is Qazf. The person who cal l s out this word i s worthy of Hadd as a whore is one who has adopted the profession of Zina. Rule- Sometimes, as a rebuke and waming, the name of the father is mentioned and said "You are not his son . " The intention behind this is that the son is not like the father in character.
