Rule- The person who rejects our Holy Prophet ij. to be Khatamun-Na­ Biyeen (thefinal Prophet) believes that prophethood can be attained after his time or refutes the meaning ofKhatamun-Nabiyeen in any way i s aKaafir and out ofthe folds ofIslam. Similarly, to deem the promised Maseeh (Hazrat lsa �V or Imaam Mehdi to be ordinary peopie is a Kufr. Also, doubting a false claimer of Prophethood to be a Kaafir after having knowledge of his statements, causes a person to become a Kaafir. (Ger. :ralBooks) Rule- To disrespect or defame anything associated to the Holy Prophet � or regard it to be defective is a Kufr, e.g. saying that the clothes of Rassooilalah ij. are dirty, his finger nails are big etc. Deeming an action of the Holy Prophet ij. to be unmannerly is a Kufr according to the Ulema. To dislike calabash for the mere reason that Rassool lalah ij. was fond ofit is even a Kufr. Rule- Making Gustaakhi (being disrespectjitl, rude or arrogant) towards Hazrat libraeel �\, Mikaael ;Bl\ or any angel is a Kufr. Some ignorant people, seeing their enemy or a person disliked by them say, "The angel of death has come."This is a statement bordering on Kufr and should never be said. Rule- To call any Ayat of the Quraan defective, disrespecting or joking about it is all Kufr. Rule- The person who says that some Ayats, Surah, Parahs or even one letter of the Holy Quraan has been added, taken out or changed, is explicitly a Kaafir. Rule- Uttering any statement that conveys rej ection of Namaaz being Fardh or degrading it is Kufr, e.g. what benefit is there is to read Namaaz, reading and not performing Namaaz is both equal etc. S imilarly uttering any statement that conveys rej ection ofthe obligation of fasting in Ramadaan or insulting it is Kufr, e.g. When Allah �, has given as food why shouldwe starve, why should I die starving etc. This is thecaseofotherFardh Ibaadat, e.g. Zakaat, Hajj also. 259
