Rule- Especially while eating, some people, who are engrossed in western culture, deem drinking with the right hand to be contrary to cultured practice. Their "cultured practice" can be labeled as the practice of Christians. The Islamic method is to use the right hand and saying B ismillah first, proceed to drink in three sips. In the first two sips the glass should be moved away from the mouth and a break taken. In the third sip, whatever amount of water wished can be drunk with the breath, This method ispleasant and abets digestion also. The water left over in the glass is clean and to throw it away because it is thought to be defiled is the practice of Hindus. Islam has no belief of defilement. Throwing away the left -overs of a Muslim is only wastage which is Haraam. Rule- Riya (show) should not play a part when presenting gifts. (Bahare-Shariat) Rule- When a boy and girl reaches 1 0 years, their beds should be separated. (Durre-Mukhtaar) After this age they should not sleep with thei r parents on one bed as well. 291
