(Raddul-Muhtaar) or, As-Salaamu Alaika ayyuhan-Nabi &!}. is to be said because the soul of our beloved Prophet � is present in the homes ofall Muslims. (Mir q aat) Rule- When Salaam is made the correct reply meaning, Wa Alaikumus-Salaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu is to be said. Saying "live long and prosperous" is not a proper answer and was the reply during the period of ignorance. Merely saying Salaam in reply also is sufficient and the greeting of even children is to be answered (Bahare-Shariat) Rule- Many people think sneezing to be bad luck. This is sheer ignorance and deeming sneezing as bad luck which has been described in'the Hadeeth as ajust witness is even more wrong. There is no concept ofbad luck or i ll-omens in Islam. (Bahare-Shariat) Rule- Gasab (usurpation) is when a person openly removes the Qabza of the owner by force and power andputs his own control over the objects. The Hadeeth states that the person who snatches the wealth of others will meetAllah £ on the day ofQiyaamat as a leper. (Tibraani) Rule- To take back a given gift is a bad thing to do. The Hadeeth has l ikened doing so to a dog who vomits and thereafter sucks it up. Hence, Muslims should abstain from this. 292
