The neighbor who is a Muslim and a relative also has three rights, the right ofbeing a relative, Muslim and neighbour. The neighbor who is a Muslim but not a relative has two rights, the right ofbeing a Muslim and neighbor. A non- Muslim neighbor has only one right, the right of being a neighbor. Therefore the Ulema rule that even a Kaafir neighbor should not be troubled unjustly. MISCELLANEOUS AADAAB 1 . Rassoolllalah � has stated, "Yawning is from Shaitaan. Whenever any ofyou yawn, you should stop it as far as possible." Some narrations state that Shaitaan enters the mouth and another Hadeeth states that Shaitaan sees yawning and smiles. The Ulema state that when a person opens his mouth in yawning, Shaitaan spits in it, the noise caused through it is vociferous ' laughter of Shaitaan who sess the disheveled faces and humors himselfand the substances that comes out is the spit of Shaitaan. An excellent method to prevent yawning is to think at heart that the Ambiya were saved from it. Immediately, it will stop. (Raddul­ Muhtaar) According to the Shariah, preventing yawning is Mustahab but i f it persists even after trying to stop it then the lips should be pressed with the teeth and if it is not stopped by this also then the right or left hand should be placed on the mouth or block it with your sleeves. 2. Completely opposite to yawning is sneezing which is a Shifaa. It is for this reason that the Shariah has ordered that, "Alhamdullilah" be said when it occurs and others reply to it with "Yarhamukallah" However, sometimes phlegm comes out of the mouth when sneezing. Hence the mouth should be covered with a cloth or the hand and the head should be loweredwhen sneezing. An attempt should be made to keep it' s ndise to a minimum and not disturb others. 307
