187 It is permissible for you to sleep with your wives during the nights of the fast – they are like a garment for you, as you are for them . 35 God knew that you were deceiving yourselves by what you were doing in secret , and He has relented towards you and pardoned you. So now be intimate with them, and desire whatever God has allowed you, and eat and drink until the white streak of dawn is distinct from the blackness of the night, then complete the fast until the nightfall. 36 However, do not be intimate with your wives on those nights when you are engaged in a spiritual retreat in the Mosque. If they cease fighting, then let there be no hostility except against wrongdoers. 194 A sacred month always remains a sacred month; therefore, any violation of what God has forbidden calls for retaliation.
