The Majestic Quran

Map of Arabia The revelation of the Quran began in 610 ce when the angel Gabriel appeared to the Prophet Muhammad r in the cave Hira near Makkah, reciting to him the first verses of chapter Al-ʿAlaq. The Prophet r continued to receive revelation as and when required until his departure from this world in 632 ce. This map shows the Arabian peninsula and while reading the Quran you will come across the names of certain nations, places and persons.
